First Snow Is Here—Are You Ready for WA Passes?
Our first dusting of snow on Snoqualmie, Stevens, and White passes this week was just a warmup. Winter is coming, and WSDOT says most pass closures are caused by unprepared drivers making bad decisions behind the wheel.
Studded tires are legal starting Sunday. Truck drivers over 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight are required to carry chains starting Sunday too. Now is the time to check your tires, replace your wipers, put chains in your car, and practice installing them in your driveway.
